Jim Bowen focuses his practice on complex business and commercial litigation, including securities class actions and cases involving mergers and acquisitions, healthcare law, shareholder disputes, banking, accounting fraud, business torts, breach of contract and other commercial disputes. He represents a wide range of business and individual clients in state and federal court, in mediation and arbitration. Prior to joining Riley Warnock & Jacobson, PLC, Jim was an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York, where he concentrated on corporate transactional work, including representing public and private corporations and investment banks in debt and equity securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and other commercial transactions. Jim continues to use his varied legal experience to advise his clients on legal issues affecting all aspects of their businesses, and he acts as outside general counsel to several small and midsize businesses and healthcare providers.
Mr. Bowen graduated from the University of Virginia and from Columbia Law School in New York, where he was a James Kent and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
